Schonsee is a growing area of Edmonton that continues to see additions everyday. To its south is the arterial 167th Avenue, a road that is well connected by public transport and has an interesting mix of commercial establishments along some stretches. To its west, the Schonsee neighbourhood has 82nd Street and to its right lies 66th Street. As with other Lake District neighbourhoods, the Schonsee community has international inspiration for its name. “Schon” is the German word for beautiful, while “see” means lake.
Numbers have grown as Schonsee attracts more families looking for great homes in beautiful surroundings. Eventually, Schonsee will have around 3,000 people living here including many with school-age children.
