Oxford is well connected to the rest of Edmonton. While drivers use 127th Street to get to the city, those who use public transport to get around can take one of the many buses passing through the neighbourhood to reach their destination. Several paths run through the neighbourhood connecting it to neighbouring communities. The northern part of Oxford is an undeveloped area. It is a protected wetland that adds to the neighbourhood’s charm and appeal.
Oxford is a vibrant community. There is always something exciting going on in the neighbourhood. The local community association organizes a number of events around the holiday season for its residents. The association also runs a number of community development and youth-centre programmes.
