The neighbourhood of Grovenor is flanked by 142 Street on the east, 149 Street on the west, 107 Avenue on the north and MacKinnon Ravine on the south. Grovenor is bisected by the four-lane corridor of Stony Plain Road that links suburban areas to downtown Edmonton. One out of five homes were built after World War II ended, while all the construction was completed by 1980. Some of the older homes on Stony Plain Road were demolished and rebuilt in recent times, while commercial development is also occurring in this region.
Residents of Grovenor enjoy easy access to downtown Edmonton and Westmount Mall. On 149th Street, the commercial centre provides a host of amenities to residents of Grovenor. For a quick, delicious bite of food, residents of Grovenor can head out to Tasty Tomato Italian eatery, Café Rista, Pizza 73 or Papa John’s Pizza. The Glenora Food Mart at the junction of 143 Street NW and 105 Avenue serves the community in terms of groceries. There are also gyms, fitness centers and clinics located in the neighborhood. Stony Plain Road has a host of restaurants and local shops while on 95 Avenue, and 170 Street is the Terra Losa Shopping Centre.
