The development in this neighbourhood was concentrated around Whyte Avenue and 103rd Street in the earlier days and you will see that the older style homes are clustered around these areas today. In the northwest corner of the neighbourhood you will see that most homes are sprawling single family structures that have a stunning view of the Mill Creek Ravine and the North Saskatchewan river.
One interesting aspect about Bonnie Doon is that this is the heart of the French community in these parts. There is actually what you might describe as a French Quarter here complete with a cultural centre, La Cité Francophone.
